The little pilot figure is so cute... I painted the jets in silver by hand, but then realised they would be better in a dark burnt colour instead, so I decided I would fix them in place and mask them off before spraying
After a coat of gloss black, I used Humbrol metalcote aluminium, which looks OK to my eyes, although it doesn't respond to polishing at all, unlike the steel version.
Overall pretty pleased, but I decided since it was an experimental aircraft, a bit of dirt and grime was required; it looks too pristine here, even I can see that.
I used a bit of MIG acrylic filter in sky blue and some starship grime acrylic wash to scuzz it up a tiny bit. I also dry-brushed some MIG Old Bronze at certain points to give a slightly burnished appearance, I actually think that worked, although it's not too apparent in the photos. Then I added an old stand for good measure.
Dexi GoodchildAuthor Thank you Vincent, it was fun and as usual I learned something!

Another Vintage Classic that I fancied, having never done these when I was younger - this was easier than the Bristol Belvedere, and I enjoyed doing it, even doing a little bit of dirt and weathering. I also decided to add a stand since it is a VTOL. Overall pleased with this.
