Hi Augie, thanks for sharing your fun with us!
Hi Guido, leave some space for me and the others... 😉
10 July 2012, 18:17

🙂 Well its nice to know there are people who take an interest.. even in the models i do..take a seat frank, you are allways welcome
10 July 2012, 18:18

Ah, the old Monogram F-100. I've built that kit many times, it's a good one. Save my seat, I need to go make some popcorn! 🙂
10 July 2012, 19:36

hehe oh god... i didnt reaslise the audience was going to be that large
10 July 2012, 20:49

Is there still a place in the first row? I'd like to sign in, don't wanna miss it!;)
10 July 2012, 20:51

I shoulda just known Holly would be in..
@Bill.. I love the old monogram molds.. since the hind, i've started collecting the 1:48 monogram kits.. Oh and gents...bewarned.. I have two more hinds so far to build.. MWHAHAHAHAAH
10 July 2012, 21:03

I think the only old Monogram quarter scale kit I don't like is the F-14. That one's a pig. The Convair Delta Wings are really nice, the F-102 and F-106.
@Guido - I think we need some nachos, too.
10 July 2012, 22:53

yeah bill,m your not wrong.. i have one of the 14's and yeah its a pig..
10 July 2012, 22:58

Their quarter scale F-111A is not so good, either, as it's basically the old Aurora kit with some more panel lines added. But I grew up with their original models in the 60s, you know the ones with bombs that drop, flaps that move, landing gear that retracts, etc. I loved it, even though the "moveable" features usually broke after you used them once or twice...
10 July 2012, 23:04

More than welcome Michael.. just mind the others.. not sure they are all house trained yet 😉
11 July 2012, 17:43

Better rent a giant screen and put them all in the garden
Or better, maybe Tim can incorporate a video thing device so we can broadcast modelling sessions on Scalemates thru our webcam
11 July 2012, 19:20

Hehe that almost sounds wrong asking female modeller to model on cam 😉
11 July 2012, 21:04

@bill both would be my goal, but i do lile the down turned wind design
12 July 2012, 06:03

Under the terms of the sixth ammendment, I accept my right to say nothing... 🙂🙂
12 July 2012, 06:23

If I would appear on your monitors your anti-virus software and spam-filters would go bezerk
12 July 2012, 13:59

I think the bare metal finish is more coloful as the decals are better
12 July 2012, 14:31

New update, fueslage is together and i am starting to get her painted in Blue Falcom scheme.. and its actually really striking so far
15 July 2012, 11:46

Goin' strong Augie, say, do you use flat or round brushes for your pant jobs ?
15 July 2012, 12:09

lol i use flat brushes mainly willy, i find they give best coverage and leave the fewer brush marks
15 July 2012, 12:12

Thx! Another one, if using enamels (Humbrol, Revell...) do you thin them or do you pop your brush straight into the jar ?
15 July 2012, 12:17

very much depends on the paint.. some cans are thicker than others.. most are thined further ands its multiple coats
15 July 2012, 14:30

Well the Hun is comming along, Will get some pics up before i finish it 🙂
17 July 2012, 19:58

17 July 2012, 21:40

17 July 2012, 22:34

Ah, ok!
I worked a bit more on the interior of the Huey, but not enough to take new pictures.
17 July 2012, 22:40
