really beautiful. i guess a good deal of that time went into the rigging and sails... but it paid off, really nice

Thanks guys, yeah, the rigging & sails were a long haul, it took quite amount of time to fabricate that orange on the masts, looking at the pictures, it changed depending of the time of day they were taken and so on. At some point I figured that I was not building a carbon, copy but a replica so once I got to a fair approximation, I just used it.

Thanks Gorby,
That makes it my number three of my ''hybrid'' series.

Album info
Here is, finally, the Nippon Maru from Imai at 1/150. Finished her this weekend after zillions of hours. The kit is getting quite rare & expensive at this scale. It was also done in 1/100 but never could find it so I settle for 1/150.
She has been a training ship for many years and is now a museum. It was a long but fun built, very nice kit, too bad Imai is no longer around. This is the first with four mats and I figured then that one extra mast should not be that much more work, yeah, right...
