Did myself a Fujimi 72nd scale Oscar last year. These kits are (considering their age) lovely builds !

I love the understated weathering. A smudge of oil here, a bit of scuffed paint there. This really looks like a lovingly maintained, but used, aircraft. Splendid.

1980's Fujimi kit. Added wiring to the engine and landing gear, and added the tail navigation light from scratch. The cockpit was kept very basic since it's nearly impossible to see anything through the canopy, but I did add seat harnesses from kabuki tape. Painted with Gunze and Tamiya acrylics. All the national insignia are masked and painted. The oversized whited border on the fuselage insignia was copied from photos. Weathered with Mig Ammo washes and pigments. I tried to portray an aircraft operated from a sod field in springtime.
