Michael Hickey AuthorI've got to give credit to Marcus for inspiring me to try something I never thought I'd delve into. His What If dio "Middle East 2030" got me thinking how I'd like to try something like that. With funds being tight at the moment I thought I've got plenty in the spares box and even more in the Evergreen pile, I should be able to give the pictured Mech Warrior, ago at scratchbuilding her. It might take me a little while as I'm keen on working on about six different projects at the moment, but this idea has got me very excited. 😄

Nice that you have a plan from the beginning, an approximate aiming point etc.
"Design as you go" can end up as a collection of bodges, one on top of the other.
I like the look of the legs on this design 🙂

Michael Hickey AuthorWelcome aboard Christian, I've finished the seat and the side consoles are 90% done. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have the floor and back wall well and truly under control, then the side frames and some color before finishing the cockpit with the window.
@Choppa, I have detailed pics of most of the Mech.

Michael Hickey AuthorG'day Ingo, no I Googled "Mech Warriors" because I wanted to see what was out there in the way of kits, but as I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment I thought I could find some inspiration and I found quite a few images of what I have pictured above. So with having images from different angles, and pics just concentrating on particular sections I thought I might have a crack at scratch building. Trying to make it look the same the best I could. I didn't do anything on her today but I am very happy with what I have done so far.

GlennYep! Michael you should be able to knock one up from the spares box! And a few of those "fidget spinners'" for the knee joints! 🙂

Michael Hickey AuthorHey Guys, Managed to get a bit of modeling done in the last two days, most of the cockpit section is done. Probably another day to finish this section, then I'll move onto the weapons underneath and power supply.

Clint MechamBe nice to see more mech type kits. Specifcally Battletech stuff. This looks like it would fit right in as a manufactures kit. It is impressive work!
