You can actually feel the crisp air and imagine little puffs of condensed breath coming from those figures. 👍

Wow, you really did an amazing job linking the lighting from the model to the photo.

Another great work mate. 👍
Beat me on this one. 🙂 Was planning to build an small diorama with the 1/72 Nashorn from Revell.

Thank you mates for your appreciation! Gorbygould the snow on the baseplate and the tracks is made of white Moltofill. The snow in the background of the photos is real. I took advantage of a few days of snowfall in Regensburg to take the pictures. They were all taken outside in my garden, so what you see is Bavarian bushes, clouds, snow and trees. Fences, neighbouring houses and the Regensburg cathedral on the horizon were made invisible with photoshop. Modelmania you bring to mind, what every military modeler considers from time to time. It is a very private and considerate choice to build, show and watch military builds - or not to (as most of my friends). I think what I am fascinated of is more "the military" and less "war" (which often damages or destroys the military). Keeping this in mind in most of my dioramas I do not depict actual combat situations. I also avoid showing scenes of cruelty and humiliation. (Bitter) irony and humor can be added in small doses in some appropriate scenes, never combined with death, injury, fear and terror though. Thank you for introducing a pensive mood on this subject, that´s why it`s good to have mates on this platform.

Daniel, Andreas, Kim thank you! Kim, your winter diorama looks very impressive. Same army and same period as my dio, yours located on the Westfront mine on the Ostfront.

Incredible, Neuling. I can only hope that I stick with this hobby long enough to achieve something of your skill. Your work definitely inspires.

That is a fantastic diorama. Very well composed and photographed!
20 January 2019, 18:16

Carlos and James, thank you! James, the background is real Bavarian sky, trees, bushes and snow. I took these pictures in my garden taking advantage of some snowfall in Regensburg.
21 January 2019, 17:37

James, I have to admit I made neighboring (garden) houses invisible with a little help of a friend named photoshop.

Thanks a lot! - This is not a new build. I only used a few snowy days in December to take new winter pictures.
