Thank you very much Chris! The colors seem a lot darker on the photos here on Scalemates for some reason...

Thank you Erik! The resin parts were a little disappointing. The casting quality was just horrible, and I had to sand everything smooth which isn't easy on the fragile parts. The rotorhead is too weak to support the rotorblades, so as a result they have some sagging, and this part had to be repaired several times. The fit between the blades and the head is very weak too, so I drilled a piece of wire in each mounting point to prevent them falling off every time. The fit of the new transmission was not bad, but it needed a lot of sanding to get it to fit, and even then it needed filler. The decals were superb however, just be careful as they are printed on one big film so they have to be cut out individually.

Thank you Michael! This is a lot older than the UH-1Y. It is an upgraded AB-212, the equivalent of the UH-1N

ahh Thx. I saw the parts of your model and thought this a kind of modded UH-1N to UH-1Y

Wow, this is just fantastic work! This really has to be very impressive to see in person especially. I bet pics don't do it justice. Bravo!

I used the back end of a pipette for the radar, it was the closest thing to the shape I could find laying around.
