I agree with Rui and Spanjaard. Btw clever solution of the helmet problem! - Howitzer or cannon? There is a good proposal of terminology on wikipedia ("howitzer"😢 explaining "cannon", "howitzer" and "mortar". According to that your piece of artillery would be called "howitzer" and not "cannon". But the terminology and the technology of artillery have changed over the years and are different in the armies of the world. So don´t care about words and enjoy our hobby: modelling!
