Curtiss P-40K Warhawk „Overcash“

The second model in my small Warhawk series is a P-40K. Here, too, I use the corresponding kit from Hasegawa. It is built as an aircraft of the 57th Fighter Group, which was flown by Lt. Robert "Jay" Overcash in Tunisia in March 1943.

I have also been busy riveting the wings and fuselage of the P-40K over the last few weeks. The last details are in place and the model is almost ready for painting. The light bombs under the wings are from eduard and actually intended for their new Sopwith Camel. A little "modernised" they fit quite well here too.

what a fantastic job. all that re-riveting mast have taken some work. but it certainly pays off. and amazing paint job too. wow!
