Completed Model

My completed build of Eduard's 1/48 Spitfire Mk.VIII weekend edition. 

Really fun build, first Eduard kit. Very happy with all the details. 

Painted almost entirely with Gunze colours. 

 

Prop details. 

 

Weathered almost entirely with 502 abteilung Oil paints. 

 

AK real colors "Azure Blue" was used for the underside. Nearly had to completely re-do the bottom after the gloss coat reacted poorly with the paint. 

 

Underwing details. I used a chrome marker for the pitot tube and it's my new favourite tool. Very easy way to get a polished chrome surface.
