This resin kit was not molded well at all. I started with filling and sanding the pits and bubble holes on the booster rockets, then spraying with a thick white primer. The primer revealed even more pits and holes, so I added some Mr. Dissolved Putty... waiting for all this to dry.
This model represents the Delta III rocket, which was used twice during my tour at CCAS. Launched from SLC-17B, both the initial and second flight failed. The third and final launch of the Delta III in 2000 (which occurred after my tour) also failed, ending the Delta III program.
