Operational Requirement F.155T

A 1955 RAF requirement for a supersonic fighter to intercept Soviet mach 2 bombers. Several submissions were received from almost all British aircraft manufacturers. Almost all of them were combined jet & rocket powered. They were as follows:

- Fairey Delta 3, in both a small and large proposal
- Armstrong-Whitworth AW.169
- Vickers-Supermarine 559
- De Havilland DH.117
- English Electric P.8 (the single jet-only submission)
- Hawker P.1103
- Saunders Roe P.187
- Avro 729

A parallel development was the Gloster Thin-wing Javelin, and the Avro-Canada CF-105 Arrow was also considered.

Only the Vickers 559 was available to buy (Fantastic Plastic), so I intend to 3d print/scratchbuild the rest.
