Great one Dutch. I built this kit years ago, construction was good overall. I preferred to sand off all the rivets and panel lines and engrave the necessary ones. Great colour scheme your doing, be careful of the aged decals they dont crack when put in water, perhaps a clear coat over the top first. I prefer to use after market decals for the windowshaving filled in the indented window, cockpit needed plastic card at the back then filled with putty. Kit needs some nose weight, I add it to both sides to so it is even. On my A330 fuselage I added the weight to the right half only, now it always rolls over to the right, pane in the butt. My 727 is in my album.

Bill, thanks for the tips. I have always wanted to do this c/s. I had two sets of decals hoping to do a Revell DC-8-61, but sold the collection during some hard times. This is my chance at redemption. Love the turquois blue fuselage & tail, back when airlines color schemes were distinguishable! I'll do this one when I get all 7 or 8 B727s on the bench and build them production line style. It makes it easier on the painting and assembly to do several sets of sub-assemblies at the same time. Dutch, it's your birthday. I have a DC-8-61 I'll send to you. Email me katalina@iprimus.com.au. I have started the kit, I'll tell more in my email to you. What colour scheme were thinking of?
