Somehow I grow to like the quite famous Ferdinand, however until recently the Elefant variant was more popular on the market and I wanted to make especially the early version. Dragon came along, but as it usually is with their kits - quite pricey. Then Zvezda announced that the beginning of this year will see their iteration of the famous assault gun, reasonably priced and well made - so I got is as my birthday gift.

First idea was to show it before the famous operation Zitadelle, however, reviewing the sources and photos gave an idea to make a small scene after the operation, yet before the withdrawal of the Ferdinands for an overhaul and upgrade to Elefants.
