I am a semi retired Architectural & Interior Design Draftsman/Project Manager. Born in Nottingham, UK, came to Australia in 1968. I got back into modelling about 6 years ago after suffering a spinal injury.
I started modelling as kid in England in the early 60's, with Airfix & Frog kits, 00 scale mode railways - Triang-Hornby, Meccano, etc. Discovered Tamiya kits in the early 70's and quickly realized that 1:35 scale was perfect for representing the sort of detailing I like. Devoured the work of Francois Verlinden and others, very inspirational! Career, marriage, travel, etc, forced a hiatus, until about 6 years ago. I was lucky to be able to build Architectural models in some of the Architectural practices I worked at - I was often the only one with any modelling experience - it was great to be paid to do what I enjoy. I now work from home on a variety of projects for private clients and contracts. My nick-name came about because I used to have a pure-bred Dingo - "Whiteboy" - a great dog, very gentle and affectionate, unfortunately now dead.
