A model builder that just feels every joy when it comes to the craft. Mostly can't get enough with any form of model but mostly a WW2 lover!
Will place photos of my work when I get the chance.

My apologies for the huge amount of information to digest
Due to reasons I prefer to leave some information out, however on the flipside I have no problem sharing with you the real reason why I am now on this forum. I found joy from the hobby at an early stage of my life, I was however very fidgety and lacked finesse and patience when it came to the smallest of details which made the difference between a good model and a model that I could be proud of. I lost the interest during the middle stages of my life - which to me was my biggest regret as it would later prove to be a massive change around when I picked up the hobby again. I owe all the thanks in the world to my late pa who passed away at the beginning of 2024, this prove to be a huge problem for me as I was still dealing with multiple issues with mental health and struggling with coping after losing my Father who it is fair to say didn't get to spend more time then I would have liked but he was with me for the last stage of his life and for that I owe him everything because it is because of what my Father gave to me in terms of the spirit and the excitement of building again that would prove to be most crucial. Model making isn't just a hobby for me anymore, it is a way of life, I use this truly unique craft to find peace and happiness each time I pick up a pair of tweezers, brush and all the other tools a hobbyist needs.
To me, I just love everything there is to the craft. From 1/35, 1/48 I just embrace every opportunity to make as many models as I can, I really cannot explain it anymore vocally then this other than it is a pure delight and at the end of it, 99% I am thrilled with my efforts. I am not an expert builder as there are a load of techniques that I am yet to master, I mostly do paint building, I haven't got to grasp with airbrushing but at a later stage I will do it but for the time being, painting is a joy enough!
I suppose this world has gone backwards when it comes to majority of our society not doing enough crafts and using way too often our phones, laptops and so on, but then again I am just being too OTT. For me the freedom is looking at the model I am making and giving it my absolute best efforts. Despite struggling with instructions at times as I get easily confused by some of the more complex layouts I would say that Tamiya for me are just the absolute best for me because the instructions are a joy to use and most of the time, their models are beautifully made and take small adjustments at times. However that doesn't mean that I do not give other companies a go. For the time being I am in the process of using the kits that I was left after my Father passed and that works fine by me as without the gift of being able to feel for model making again I would be in a very different place.
