This is my first real kit bash. The starting point is the Tamiya M1 Super Sherman kit. I'm gonna convert this into a late World War II M4A1 76(w) Sherman. I bought this kit and alot of upgrade material from a scale modelling buddy. He already added Dragon tracks, a barrel from Aber, spare parts of Asuka and suspension parts from the Tamiya M10 kit. That suspension is more detailed than the suspension in this Tamiya kit. I've added the Dragon transmission cover and gun travel lock from my own spare parts. Since alot of the end connectors broke off I'm gonna remove alot of them of the tracks. This is seen in alot of photographs of Sherman tanks from World War II.

Also used idler wheels from a Dragon Sherman kit. Much more detailed than the ones Tamiya provided.

Thanks! Friul tracks are nice but these are nice ones too. At the moment I'm trying to use up as much as good detailed plastic parts. Just too many cool spare parts laying around doing nothing. 🙂

Construction of the M4A1 is mostly finished. Two figures will be on and in the tank and one or two figures beside it. Will picture them soon.
