The Caproni "Libeccio" was designed as a multi-purpose colonial aircraft, although there were attempts to convert it into an assault aircraft.
After the armistice, only one example flew to Southern Italy in the Regia as a liaison aircraft.
As indicated in "Coccarde tricolori" book, published by the Italian air force, it had serial number 23906. It was part of the 103 squadron and then of the second transport group.
