Such a beautiful scene! It really feels like it's moving, it's very dynamic.Superb!

Very nice! Although - the propellers would look better if they´d been in "neutral" position... Sorry to point that out.

To display planes in flight is always a challenge. You came up with a very good idea and built a very nice model and diorama around it. Hajo points out a detail you might consider changing. It would add even more realism. In any case: a very special display. I like it a lot.

It is simple spectacular. What a fantastic idea and execution. Congratulations, you certainly nailed it

It's always good to receive feedbacks! Thank you Hajo.
I don't get what you meant by "neutral" position though. Do you mean making the burning propellers to move (but in a slower motion than the working ones) would have been better?

When propeller planes have an engine failure the blades are "feathered", meaning put in a position where they create the least drag.
Here en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propeller_(aeronautics) it is explained in detail.

Wow I had no idea about this "feathering" propeller. I will definitely try this when I make another similar project. Thank you so much for your kind explanation!

Thank you Villiers, Greg, and Robert! Really appreciate the encouragement.

@Michael: Thank you for explaining it, I forgot the right term. And I really look forward to another project like this, Bryant! The display is awesome!!

Great work and nice display!
I guess you used LEDs for the flames, the props that's spinning - are those electrified?
18 September 2022, 09:45

Thank you Andreas. Yes, I installed 4 LEDs for the flames and actually three of the propellers were motorized. One if the axles were broken during the assembly. I had to do a LOT of work by wiring and pulling them out through the aircraft. Hard but fun work!

Usually I find cotton clouds not very realistic, but this one is superb! Great work.

Thank you Erik. The tip is to make a lot of small bits of cotton rather than big chunks. A bit time consuming but really worth it.

What a great diorama! The plane is exceptional, and I love the flak bursts.

Very clever diorama! Looks great. How did you motorize the props!? So nice!

Fantastic Super Fortress, like a real Old Battler, damaged but not down
