This model represents a NASA Gulfstream IV aircraft used to simulate the landing profile of the Space Shuttle for astronaut training. I often provided aviation weather briefings for crews performing the Shuttle Landing training mission and for flights to transport NASA personnel between the Kennedy Space Center and the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
