Why Augie?
What is your problem with this resin?
Kendal Model Company was ( before the company has concluded) one my favorite resin dealer! I build i.e. the Spit Mk. XIV (see Gallery) with KMC Canopy and exterior detail sets. I was absolutely satisfied
Your choice is the best choice ever!!!!!
Fine details and a super clean casting!
🙂
Wish you patience with these Resin parts!

I feel Sorry about The wrapped parts! That must be disappointing and motivating at the same time!😢

Aah ok!
If the resin parts are not too thick, you could bend them! Before you dive the warped parts in hot water! An immersion heater is helpful!
I've practiced this many times and it works up to 2 mm thick parts well!

13 December 2012, 21:29

Hmm, what were you complaining about the colour before? Worked out fine! 👍 Good job, Augie!
16 December 2012, 17:06

🙂 yeah its turned out nicely, the origninal colour of the tub turned far too grubby/greeny..

This one? The Harrier? Both together? Busy, busy! Don't mix the paint schemes, Augie!😉

I see you're using the "Wraparound Thuds" decal sheet? I have that one, too, but in 1:72. Which scheme are you using?
22 December 2012, 20:22

Nice! Can't wait to see it finished. I'll probably do the SEA scheme (which is what I'm used to seeing on a Thud), but the wraparound will make it a bit different.
22 December 2012, 22:51

Thanks Bill, The other two schemes i have already marked for F-101's 🙂
22 December 2012, 22:54

i have a few in SEA a CH-53C, plus a few other options.
I have toa dmit tho, i find SEA a little over done
23 December 2012, 00:24

Hehe good idea bill, bit too far along to go for that😉
But have to say the thud does look mean in european one scheme
23 December 2012, 08:51

So some issues with the dark green, having to repaint them.. other than that.. looking like a Thud..
Planning weapon load now.
