Choppa NuttaI've just bought a tub of new Vallejo's Metal Colour as I want to have a stab at a metal finish at some point.
I also got a tub of Tamiya X-1 gloss black but I am slightly confused as to what I should thin it with because it says Acrylic but it also says Flammable on it too and I hear regular acrylic thinner might make it go like tar.
Need some advice as to what to use to thin it before I clog up my airbrush 🙂
So if anyone knows what I should X-1 gloss black with please shout it out 😄

Donald Dickson II AutorI thin all my Tamiya paints with Tamiya thinner. X-20A. I do about a 50/50 mix and havent had an issue. BUT, I have not used gloss. But I cant imagine it would be much different.
I am curious about the metal pastes. I may give that a try sometime.

First time using Model Master metalizer. Rather like how it came out. The yellow on the wings is painted. The fuselage is decal. Probably should have painted that as well as the decals werent opaque enough. She turned out OK and it was good practice for when I do the Academy kit.
