The wheels & the chain are really the icing on the cake - beautiful work, it could easily pass as 1/4 not 1/24... There is no way to hide the smallest mistake on a build like this, so you simple did not make one... 👍
Now, we need to see the AMG-version!😉
22 March 2020, 22:13

Thank you Palo and Slavo!
Slavo, of course there are mistakes, I can present them to you, if we have a chance to see us in person. I think a build without mistakes is a oxymoron😉
Oh yeah, a tuned AMG version with a two-cylinder, to double the speed to 32km/h 👍

Wow Bugs that's great looking! I don't see a propeller on it, is it finished? LOL!

Thank God someone else has got this build happening, as I just ordered mine from the Ukraine and looking forward to have it looking as this build look.
Just beautiful and inspiring. 👍 👍 👍 🙂

Thank you mates! This is listed on SM side bar as "Hot kit"😉
@wilky, that is a big praise! May be one day, if I left this world ...
@Tim 👍 LOL!

I'm sure they'd except it.
I'm sure that your wife is a lovely person but myself I wouldn't trust anyone after I've died to follow any of my wishes.
I wouldn't trust that it wouldn't end up thrown out just for the sake of convenience.
I was a Sexton for ten years and I have plenty of experience of the wishes of the deceased being ignored.
Problem is once you've dead you no longer have a say in anything

Thx Matthew! That is not really a car, so I could use my biplane building know how😉
28 April 2020, 16:55

Thx! Yes, it is a nice kit and now also available in a new box with figures of Bertha Benz and her sons 👍

I just saw this thing in the recent ModelFan issue - yours looks better, particularly the wood 🙂
6 June 2020, 05:27

Thx Slavo, that is a praise! I checked it online and found a small picture on the title. None of my models are in a print magazine.

Beautiful model. Very well done. Great paint job all around. 👍 I also like the Ford 👍
12 July 2020, 17:29

I enjoyed the WIP - album and now I'm enjoying the completed album! Top work.

I am very pleased to report that this model was awarded a gold medal at the competition during the exhibition in Ried last weekend.
It could not have gone better for me: three models - three gold medals 😉 Thank you very much!
18 October 2021, 08:54

Three entries = three golds. Another day in the office… 😄
But seriously, congratulations. Your work is top notch, and thank you again for sharing it here.

Who other could manage such a machine in such a perfect style...I was convinced from the very first moment that it is Bughunter's model 😉 Simply stunning!
18 October 2021, 15:58

Good on ya Buggs. 🙂 You richly deserve every award that came your way. 👍 👍
19 October 2021, 01:36

Thank you very much mates for leaving such nice comments or click on Like. Much appreciated!
Perhaps it is an advantage to be a WWI biplane modeller when it comes to wood painting as it is not so common on cars.
19 October 2021, 18:23

Buggs. I can vouch for the wood look painting is not that easy. But it was fun. 🙂
20 October 2021, 07:47

This car is missing some propper Rallye trim and a rollcage...
just kidding 😉 Outstanding work mate! Very impressive!
20 October 2021, 08:06

Thank you mates! Attached to the project is also a Work In Progress album, i case you like to see it.

I have actually worked on a real one of these. I'm an automotive machinist by trade, and I used to work for a company that specialized in vintage engine restorations. The crankshaft and big end had little spring loaded grease pots on them for lubrication.
Your model looks very good 🙂
20 October 2021, 08:26

Thank you Rod!
Attached to the kit here in Scalemates is a link to a nice walkaround. I think it is a replica, but I used this as template in it's nice dark green. The kit is great, only the lower part of the belt and axle assembly seems to be simplified.
20 October 2021, 08:36

Beautiful little car, bughunter. Wood and seat are looking great. 👍
20 October 2021, 10:51

A most deserved award in Ried! "Three out of three" is as impressive as your models are! Congratulations!
28 October 2021, 08:04

Thank you mates!
Special thanks to Roland for persuading me to participate as an exhibitor after all! Will you be successful next year in demanding a separate category for my models? I think I will be there on 15./16 October 2022 👍
28 October 2021, 09:33

Well deserved award! Congrat's! It was great to see your models "live" at the show in Ried. Looking forward to see you there next year.
28 October 2021, 10:09

Congratulations !! Nice to have more than us scalenuts word on your work! lol
5 November 2021, 03:49

Yepp....saw it there..looks fantastic ..well deserved. 👍
29 March 2022, 15:36

Thank you very much mates!
After the contest I notices a little problem on one wheel hub, I guess transportation damage. So if one wheel is not aligned on your pictures - this was not intended 😉 I hope I can fix this easily.
I would also like to say a big thank you to my wife for her constant support 👍
29 March 2022, 15:58

Thank you mates!
Because of Corona there was no classical award ceremony. It's a pity, so you couldn't see the builders of the models. I hope there will be some official results soon.
4 April 2022, 06:43

@bughunter
Yepp....I agree with that.Very sad there wasn't a regular ceremony.I like to see the builders ,too.
4 April 2022, 07:25

Thank you very much mates!
Kyle, now is also another "easy" version of the kit available with plastic wheels. But I have not seen it with my own eyes so I do not know, how filigree the spokes are.
2 September 2023, 09:27

Yes, but the fit is problematic. Not sure if I made something wrong, but the spokes forms a bow now. May be a little bit longer hub helps here? During transport back the spokes split the hub in two halves, I had to glue that again.
In the reviews of the "easy" version the spokes looks nice and they are round. The chains are then also no more PE.
2 September 2023, 18:16

A richly deserved recognition by your peers. 👍
I tried, and lord, how I tried, but the finest craftsman is always hard to equal, let alone beat.
Well done bug's. 😉
2 September 2023, 22:40

Perhaps I will try to pick up the "easy" version then and see how it compares to the beauty that you have built.
3 September 2023, 01:25

Well deserved congratulations
I remember following your build of that one
Also congratulations on your other medals
