Cool thing to see a Ram in miniature 👍 I´m keeping an eye on this project!

Hi Tom, that's why I bought this conversion 😉
Lately I noticed some kits for the RAM, but still not too many though.
Little fact: the Dutch used the RAM together with Shermans to build up their tank units right after WW2. The Dutch Cavalery museum has 1 RAM in their collection.

Thanks guys! 🙏
@Chris: handpainted with Humbrol enamels and AK weathering pencils. Started with black, then olive drab stippled on followed by AK weathering pencils; gun metal, olive drab (for touch ups) and sepia. That's all 🤷🏻

How do you use the weathering pencils? I've been eyeing them up and wondering if I would find them useful over my current processes or find new ways to use them.
Also, I love the fact that you handpaint it. I've always handpainted my base coats on armor, I feel it gives a better look and finish than airbrushing. It goes on heavier and fills in tiny gaps and stuff and just looks better IMO.

With the right techniques you can do a lot with paint and brushes, that's very true. I give surfaces a tecture with paint by stippling for instance.
The weathering pencils can be used in several ways; with a dry pencil, wet pencil, both ways and then use a damped brush to spread it or just with a damped brush. I use them all. I first tried all different ways and got myself used to controlling it with water.
I think it is fun working with weathering pencils. To start you could try watercolor pencils, these work too. The AK ones are somewhat greasy for better adherence to plastic, the watercolor pencils are not but work well on matt surfaces evenso.

I've been waiting for this one to pop up in my feed again. Lovely finish on it!

Album info
Conversion from Verlinden Productions for the Tamiya M3 Lee.
Did some work on it in the '90's, now I'm going to finish it.
Is it really a conversion? Mwah...not really I think, you only need the wheels, bogies and tools from the Tamiya kit.
I also used the 75mm gunbarrel from Tamiya, only because I seem to have lost the Verlinden barrel.
