OK, so my first REAL figure. Its a dryad figure, but I am painting it as a wood elf. Which they pretty much look the same. This figure doesnt show the eras, but both are pointy. The dryads tend to have mare of a greenish hue. Wood elves are browner.
I started with a base flesh color. I plan on using dark flesh to make her browner. I think I will do so just lightly air brushing. Im gonna have enough brush work with every damn thing else.
The beautiful ladies pic is to ask how the hell do I get that hair color???? Any suggestions are welcome.
And this is a figure printed and sold under license. Just FYI.

The first of the flowers done. Signal red works great! LOL And the base is gonna be fun. *eye roll*

Martin, this is my first one. Just applying everything I have learned about doing planes and such. So far, so good. LOL Though I am really perplexed on the hair color.

I guess the crevices between the strands are darkest. So either preshade or panel line wash at the end? For the rest go from dark to light I guess

Making progress.
Martin, it's more how do I get that color. It's not just red. Not sure what to mix to achieve that.

Looks like wood? So some different shades of brown/beige coated by clear orange/red? Spanjaard would say: Try on a spare piece of plastic

OK, so I ordered some colors of Revell paints online. Then I went to the local (well, as local as I have. Almost an hour from here) hobby store and perused their selection. I cam across purple red. Perfect. I used that as the base coat. Then I got the others in the mail today. I dry brushed carmine red. It accented just right and calmed down the gloss from the purple red. Then a lot of dry brushing and removing copper. Some spots are still a bit metallic, but I like it none the less. Then the flowers in the hair.

More progress. Yes, I am aware she is uneven. Have to work on that tomorrow. LOL

I think you made a natural beauty. No woman is perfectly symmetrical 😁

Thank you Villiers. 🙂
With the exception of a few touch ups, she is done. The owls eyes are just gonna have to be funky. I tried a couple times. If I keep effing with it, Ill mess it up worse. LOL
Now to finish the base and spray some dull coat.
