Anyone have any extra parts from their Dragon or Tri-Star Ausf D builds I can have?

You might want to find one of these: scalemates.com/kits/137157-tristar-35042-pz-iv-running-gear

That is hard to find without paying the big bucks - no one is listed here selling the product

There is a mate in the US listed selling 3 of them. (Haven't checked if the price is okay.) If we're lucky Hobbyboss might re-release that kit some day.

@ Fabian. Why do you recommend the Tristar 35042, for this kit? Is there something wrong with the Tamiya original ones?
29 April 2016, 11:40

Tamiya used vinyl caps in the road wheels, hence they miss the actual look by quite a bit. (Added pics below) And the the Tristar boogies and wheels have criper detail, but that´s pretty obvious.

Hi Fabian. Thank you for your insights.
The vinyl ring doesn't show, so not an issue for me.

It´s not about the vinyl ring itself (that is actually a quite useful feature), but the shape of the roadwheels was changed to accomodate the vinyl ring. And that does resulat in a sligtly wrong geometry. Anyway, glad to be of service😉

Hi Fabian, Thank you for sharing your knowledge 👍
For me IMHO a slightly wrong geometry is ok, if the alternative is spend almost the same amount as the kit for the gear setting😉

Honestly, I woudn´t upgrade that kit either. If you throw in a little extra money you can get the rest of the tank from Tristar aswell. The new Hobbyboss (or old Tristar) kit can be build either as a Tauchpanzer or normal IV D. scalemates.com/kits/960315-h..fwagen-iv-ausf-d-tauchpanzer

What parts do u need? I have some Dragon bits, not sure which ausf. as they are all mixed in my spare bin. Don't give up too easily on the TriStar wheels..I managed to find a used set for $15.

Dave, maybe I can help you out. I have in my spare-box parts of the Tristar Pzkw IV. This is: 16 wheels, 32 tires, 8 return rollers and 8 suspension units (working). I'm not 100% shure if they are for the D version, but I think so. If you'r interested please send me you'r E-mail adres so I can send you a picture of the parts. If they are what you looking for I can send you the parts for shipping Costs.
