italian modeler, I build railroad layouts and 1/100 scale aircraft
I'd like to talk to friends, all round the world, about the topic.
I'm also a vintage cars lover, and my website is www.ghelardi.it
If you ask me which is my favourite plane, I have no doubt: the B747, especially the one with short upper deck; its elegance is unpaired, of course, in my opinion. It has a lot of style.
Among the best kits I'd suggest the Doyusha B707, with separated and opened doors, and cargo door too.
I like very much old style liveries (60s, 70s) cause I think contemporary ones have something to do with excess and poor armony (flowers, fading stripes, waves, titles on windows areas, with larger and larger dimensions, etc.). Planes are not walls for writers, they need a back color and one or two colors more to generate the stripes, stylized symbols, easy to remember on the tail.
I have nothing to teach, but a lot to learn, so if you have something to suggest please feel free to write me by email (on my website), to have a quicker answer.
I'd like to receive suggestions about airbrushing, proper techniques, best colours (acqueus or with solvent), gloss, matt, masking devices, etc.
Unfortunately I don't speak German, but I'd like to report you this link: familie-wimmer.com/hobby/hr14/index.html here you'll find my works... in German, but, besides, many more details about 1/100 aircraft, also the ones made by ex-eastern Europe firms.
