I’ve been building models for almost as long as I can remember. My first model was a Porsche 928 S4 when I was a kid. My dad found me in the living room at 4 a.m. the next day building it! I remember painting it with oil paint from Ravensburger's 'painting by numbers' 🙂
Since then I've always been modelling different subjects. I model everything with tracks/wheels, props/jets, sails and sometimes even legs or fins.
Though I have a broad perspective on subjects, I do have a special interest in:
- Royal Netherlands Air Force, especially “the early years”
- German WW2 aircraft and armour
- Ardennes Offensive 1944 (Battle of the Bulge for US mates)
- US Naval aviation
- racing cars: F1, Le Mans and GT racers
More recently I really started to enjoy figure painting very much, ranging from Games Workshop figures to large scale busts. I'm still practicing this, so still a lot to learn.
