Thanks Holger, welcome aboard! This is another project I have really been looking forward to doing. Every build I see of this beast just looks soooo impressive.

Indeed! Impressive is the right word for that "beast"! I hope the Academy kit is a good base for your build. Will you rivet her? The kit has no rivets AFAIK.

I have considered this, and I think I will attempt to add the rivets. I have a Rivet-R tool that I have not yet used, so I will probably use that for this. I am going to build it all folded up as well, rode hard and put away wet! LOL she will be a dirty whirlybird!

Michael "Rosie the riveter" Phillips!😢
Hey its a navy bird- she has to be wet and dirty! 😄

I'm in too Michael. Can't wait to see what you make out of this Big Bird. This kit lies on my bench too at the moment with the meshes opened and detailed with PE Parts. Perhaps i can look over your shoulders.

Thanks guys, welcome! This one is a ways off yet in my build queue, but I definitely am looking forward to it. Once I feel ready to tackle this beast, I may end up moving it up in the queue. 🙂
