My collection is strictly 1/72 scale aircraft and 1/700 scale ships. Predominantly 1911-1955 period, but I do delve outside that timeframe. Naval subjects are my favorites, but I have more Spitfires than any other type. For a museum I'll build something outside of my preferred genres and scales.
Retired USN "greenshirt"; I spent 30 years working around jets on the flight decks of aircraft carriers and supporting carrier operations when not actually deployed on a carrier.
I try to spend about an hour a day at my bench; painting, gluing or just moving things about. I complete 1-2 kits each month, sometimes more, sometimes less.
I still have one of my first models (Revell A6M Zero), and I've built a replacement for my very first model.
