Second of two Halifaxes builded together to be displayed.
Dog fight? Well, this is not the case, these planes never met in the sky.
However, the crews of both planes met in Prague on May 27, 1942 (before 80 years). That day was the head of the Reich Security Main Office (RSHA = Kripo, Gestapo, SD), Deputy Reich-Protector of Bohemia and Moravia, police commander, chairman of the Wannsee Conference, one of the main organizers of the Holocaust and also a fighter pilot of Bf 109 Reynhard Heydrich attacked by soldiers of the Czech exile army in the UK, who were trained by S.O.E. units. Injuries caused by this attack led to his death one week later. It was a highest SS officer killed from outside during WWII. These soldiers (Group Anthropoid, Silver A and Silver B) were transported from the UK to the protectorate by this Halifax Mk.II NF-V during the night from 27. to 28.12.1941.
