Dave AutorAll parts got a coat of primer than a layer of tamiya black, the darker looking pieces were than cover with Tamiya gunmetal. While the lighter looking ones were covered with Mr. Color super chrome silver. Top coated with a number of lite layers of Mr. Color Clear Violet along with Tamiya Clear.

Dave AutorYes both brands are acrylics, I like using Mr. Color 400 Leveling Thinner for both brands. Each layer of paint gets a soft polish with a folded piece of paper towel. A very slow process of painting that can takes weeks to complete.
