1968 CVAN-65 & CVW-9: Started with Revell Kit 5046 with tons of scratch-built details (hanger deck, post 65 overhaul hanger deck rooms, BPMS, LSO platform, crane, island detail, antenna, stairways, hose reels, etc.) and aftermarket kits (planes, decals, PE sets, rocket launchers, etc.) Stole a bunch of stuff from the Indy kit. (fresnel lens, platforms, vehicles, & crane portion) Stole an S2 from Princeton for the C-1A. Finished it up with the helos, vehicles, crew, more ship/deck decals. I also built one of each squadrons' aircraft that made up Carrier Air Wing 9 in 1/72 as well.
