Idea for the presentation of the model: concrete ground and wall 

The fit of the pieces leaves a lot to wish for.
As a rebox from a 2018 Special Hobby mould, I was hoping for better. 

During the curing of the putty to seal the gaps, I build some other steps. 

Plastic putty is cured. 

Scratching, filing, buffing, result.
But the proof will be in the "primer-pudding".

Aaaaannnd: Catastrophe!!!
During the dry-fitting I felt that the fit of the wings on the spar was a bit tight, but manageable.
Actually, when I put both wing on the spar, all hell (and both wings) broke loose. Result: the spar is wedged in the bomb's body and both wings. One of the wings is slightly damaged.
I'll fiddle around a bit to see if it's salvageable with deployed wings, otherwise, I'll have to present the V-1 with the wings on the cradle. Oh well...

I was hoping for a better moulding quality from a Revell kit, but it seems that the moulds are either very old (Special Hobby 2018, don't think so) or the parting line or the two mould parts were mismatched/not aligned correctly.
Bummer, but hey: part of the hobby, right?! 

The wings are placed and the seams filled. In the meantime, I've started work on the trolley. 

Some small holes are left in between the wing and it's base, more putty is needed. 

These were very hard to clean up. The misalignment of the moulds is very visible here.

I think I did a decent job on the clean-up. 

Strangely enough, the spare spar (long "tube" attached to the trolley) was missing, had to make one from scratch. 

 

Both traction handles are now placed, I have a basic idea of the full length of the object. 

Same with the V-1 on it. It's rather impressive on my desk.

Of course, it's simply me being a fecking eedjit: how can the spar be on the trolley if it's already in holding the wings?! 

There's to be a slanted wall, as seen on the "Idea for the presentation of the model: concrete ground and wall" (4) picture. 

Building a triangular box with a slanted wall isn't as easy as it seems. 

Nice edge though.

Starting the base floor. I wanted to use @Carlos Martin's "over engineered" method,
Torpon
but quickly passed over to my own. 

This one needed some heavy mods. 

All of them needed some TLC to look more or less correctly.
The guy on the left got his shoulder fixed after the image was taken.

The proof will be in the (pudding?) base coat! 

Everything is primed and ready for corrections and base coats.

This should be the (more or less) final distribution of the objects on the base plate.
