Martin: as they say the Airfix kit is a really pig. I bet that You will have a beautiful collection (I have a Black Magic somewhere is the self but... I have to wait a little bit) but You will need a great deal of patience. One was enough for me for some time so I envy Your courage!

Hi! This is the good old Airfix Comet. As I'm a big fan of the Golden Age and the Macrobertson race I had to have this one. I tried to modify the kit to make it closer today's standards, so I made a new cockpit, new landing gears, vacuumformed cockpit canopy, repositioned rudders, new airscrews, rescribing and resmoothing all surfaces and recontoured the fuselage to a more accurate shape vith Milliput. It took time 😉 Hope You like it.
