First pictures about this Academy kit. I am planning to build the version illustrated on the boxtop.
The cockpit looks pretty empty build out of the box, so I have done some detailing with scratched- and etched parts. As I am going to close the canopy -made of rather thick plexi- I hope this will work well.

Thank you guys! I did some further detailing in the Cockpit- and work -with some extra wiring- in the wheel well had started too.

Some further steps taken- now its for filling and sanding!

As a primer for the application of Alclad I sprayed the surfaces with black gloss- it makes the T-33 looking very cool, doesn´t it? 🙂
The final pictures show the outcome of the first "White Aluminum" shade. Another metallic shade, "Aluminum" has been applied already- I will do some pictures from that when I have sprayed the bow section red.

Thank you both guys!
Just spoiled because of bad masking the red chin of this bird- but, that´s the good news, it will take no great effort to get that fixed. I applied gloss clear immediatly after spraying and demasking the red area- no good idea! The colour edge shriveled in a funny way...

Thank you both for your statement!
Here are some pics referring to yesterdays misshap:
Gentlemen, never hurry during modeling!

Thank alot Vorya! Application of the decals is as done sealing, a decent washing and some wear and tear. Decals showed to be very stable but, that is the bad news, very thick. I tried to cope with that by spraying several layers of Gunzes clear gloss over the surfaces. In the end it seems as if it had worked...
Next and quite final step will be reducing the glossiness and assembling the minor parts.

Many thanks, Christian! Coming weekend should see the roll out of that T-bird... 🙂

a little addition to the t-birds cockpit: I improvised the strut, which can be seen in all, as it seems to me, contemporary pictures, with a strip of metal. This was easily done by using the inner side of the canopy as a "cast". Slight further detailing was done in the cockpits interior, which satisfies me more than in the beginning. By now the T-33 is finished, I will show you photos of that in the near future 🙂

As usual great job and realistic finish Roland!!
Damit hast du mich an meine fast vergessene T-33 erinnert (vor 15? Jahren in kanadischen Markierungen in Silber, Stahl und schwarz). Die krame ich doch glatt mal aus...

Thank for this kind comment Bernahrd!

Thank you for this! Oh yes, it´s the Academy kit- which I would really like to recommend!

There it is... the T-33 project is finished! All the kits decals have been used, which are perfect in register and colour but proved to be a little bit heavy handed during appliance. After all and as sayed above I recommend this kit- although I would be eager to see a new and more recent one! Thank you all for comments and interest!

Eine weitere sehr überzeugende Arbeit aus der Sachsenhoferschen Modellschmiede. Gratuliere Roland!

Roland, great looking T-Bird. I have the Academy kit, that is why I asked if that was what you had. Mine is done in Aircraft grey with Markings from McConnell AFB. It is the Acadmey limited edtition kit. But it is still around,so I plan on getting more.
