Eric, I thought this is the fastest way to create a mold. They don't stick together and if you don't overheat them they stay in shape ..

Did you use the "hairspray method" for the chipped paint? it looks good!

No, ist a postshading. I used "wet palette" of four colours

Black, Brown, Leather Brown & Dark Earth (Revell Aqua Color).
With lots of water and an brush I "randomly" distributed chipping with black spot. Then I drew different Brown lines down in the direction the water goes.
I tried to look for logic positions though

Tool this as a kind of reference ...
