TreehuggerI see that this kit uses the same stand that comes with Colombo Express (container ship). Tip: A way to modify the stand, is to drill two holes in the ship's hull and also the stand, and then insert and glue on 2mm solid styrene rod. That way, the fiddly stand is sturdy and really "sticks" to the model. By default the ship's model just rest uneasily on the stand I found.
