it looks simply fantastic. i can not say if all those colours are decals or masked and airbrushed, but in any case they look marvellous. great job!

Spanjaard thanks a bunch. First i had to paint the entire model white, did the higher decals, masked them off and painted the red, than the rest of the decals over red. it was a tedious so to speak due to the decals not suiting the shapes on the model.

loots of work, but i think it paid off, it looks fantastic. i have never done an airliner, and i have none in my stash, but beauties as this one, tempt me a lot 🙂

Spanjaard, think of it as civil car modelling, but with wings 😄 seriously quite similar, lot's of gloss coats and than rubbing with compound trying to keep it blemish free as much as possible in the mean time, which's probably the hardest part of all.

gorbygould thank you very very much. the model is unusually large for my modelling hence the available backing drawing papers didnt fit so i had to improvise 😄

you have to do almost perfect coats of paint, then lots of polishing and when you think it is getting right, lots more, I would say. I remember the amount of time I spent polishing my 250GTO, and it is a fraction of the size of this baby (and it does not look half as good). I respect the result you got even more now!
