I received the '69 boxing of this kit in the Eighties and the fuselage halves just wouldn't go together. Whole thing ended up in the bin

Looks good Charlie - but what happened to the canopy?

The cockpit would not fit and, to be honest, I was a bit scared to attempt a "doctoring" to make it fit due to my skill level. So I just cleared over the canopy so you can't see into the cockpit.

Album info

This was the first model aircraft build for me in over 25 years. I think I picked up this kit at a local Wal-Mart back in high school. Anyway, no historical accuracy here as I built this straight out of the box except I opted for my own paint job from a few pictures I liked. I did add some gun barrels from a P-38 update set.

The primary objective of this build was weathering techniques.

I had some issues with the fitting of the fuselage and wings. I tried to putty and sand as best I could.
