Other than expected there are only minor fit issues, filler is needed only on a few occasions- and the canopy seems to fit quite well.

Roland Sachsenhofer AutorSanded, masked....and ready for paint! Only a few spots had to be treated with putty; most prominent is the area around the cockpit. Here the canopy had to be sanded down in diameter- and a huge cleavage on the forward end of the transparent part had to be filled.

Roland Sachsenhofer AutorThis project is going into the home straight- the surfaces have been weathered and washed; decent exhaust stain will be applied along with giving the surfaces a coat of Gunze flat clear. Not on the shiny bare metal parts of course, this should look nice in combination with the more dull parts.

I am content with the outcome so far- a commendation to Special Hobby for offering such a nice paint scheme of such a rare bird!
