Fuselage halves have been closed on both Lansen today- hard work on the Tarangus-version because of the bad fit. But I think they will look quite impressive- and the Lansen is a rather huge airplane, by the way!

Thank you mates! Indeed, this double is intended to fly under the label "Northern Skies, Stefan!
"Human Scale factory"..... how appealing! 🙂
A few new pictures- the Tarangus -Lansen will need a lot of sanding...

Modest as I am I supposed so...... 🙂 Indeed, I like that description, Daniel!

Thank you very much Lode and Stephan! Lode, I enjoy your words all the more as I adore your detailing skills displayed on your big Royal Navy ships!

A few construction steps further, a first coat of "Alclad White Aluminum" has now been applied after priming with glossy black. The blue band behind the radome indicates the squadron.

No spectacular step- but the upper side of Lansen A is ready for preshading by now!
26 December 2018, 20:16

Preshading and prelighting has been done- this time with yellow, which should prepare a nice base for the olive-green which will follow.

The surface colors are applied and the outer skin is glossy, ready for the decals

Ja, Maestro Models haben sich da nicht lumpen lassen 🙂

The fitting of the poorly fitting cockpit parts required some more reworking - including sanding "down to the bone" and an airbrush session on the advanced model. Tricky work on the nearly finished surfaces...

Thank you!
Lode, the comparison of the two kits was quite interesting. What Tarangus delivers is really "short run" -for the money of a premium kit by the way.
The accuracy of fit is.... in some parts a little bit coarse and the degree of detail lets a lot of air up 🙂
This double build is in any case a lot of fun - both kits are already recommended here.

Now the second "Lansen" project has come to a good end! The "Attack" version of Tarangus is in comparison with the Hobby-Boss offer clearly a "short-run" kit with some highs and all lows.
But the original is worth it to be converted into an ambitious model.
In this context I can really recommend the etched parts from Maestro Models, also the FODs as well as the entry ladders come from this source.
Thank you for your interest and comments - I hope you like the pictures!

Again, I love it! Looks very sleek and reminds me of my visit to the Swedish Air Force Museum Last summer.

You are a Master Roland, what a beautiful pair! Btw, your painting on the leather and FODs is remarkable!
13 January 2019, 08:22

Thank you very much Maciej, Bernd and Christian!
Christian, the admiration for the colours of the etched parts/ the ladder and the FODs, I can pass on to Masestro Models🙂 These are pre-painted etched parts that only have to be folded and glued together.

...und ich war ziemlich beeindruckt wie sauber und akkurat du die Schwarz/Gelben Übergänge hinbekommen hast 😉 Aber umso beeindruckender sind die beiden Saabs, zwei echte Gusto-Stückerl! LG Christian

Thank you mates! Christian, da sage ich herzlich danke!
