Despre mine

I built my first models like many other little boys. At that time, Estonia was in the Soviet Union, and it was quite difficult to do so in the conditions of general shortage. People in that system had to be very innovative, and I am convinced that modelers were also that, in order to find solutions and replace things that were not on sale. But I just glued my models together without painting them, and saving my pocket money, I collected most of what was available. They were mostly Soviet-made poor copies of Frog products. I have repeatedly tried to remember if the first model was a Mi-2 or an Il-2. In any case, it started with one of them. After that, there was a break, and I returned to the hobby in the early 90s, when Estonia was free again and trade had started to flourish. My first new model was a Revell 1/48 F-16. And now Revell paints also came into play. After some models, there was another break, until 2003. Then I started again seriously, collecting models and information systematically. Since then, I have been building constantly at my own pace. My main interest is planes and submarines. At exhibitions, however, I look at everything with interest. Since the pile of boxes became too big, I decided to go for as much as possible one scale, so I basically build 1/72, which in my opinion is a beautiful and easy to see and perceive size and allows you to make some larger planes without having to move out immediately. Collecting pile of boxes seems to be very common and it gives me great satisfaction alongside building and finished models.
