I've been disapointed with this airbrush : found some issue on mine > the needle protrudes too far forward the head while assembled, the spray of paint is low to go out and imprecise.
It's a strange anomaly which I am going to report to the manufacturer.

Hi Roger,

I've bought new nozzle and needle for mi Airviper to see if that would solve the problem.

Firts, I looked carefuly, and compared the new parts with the original ones, and 've understood that the original nozzle (that protrudes too far forward, coming from the airbrush set) had an strange issue : poorly machined.

New spare parts are OK for fitting on the airbrush head, and now does not protrude excessively.

But here came a big surprise...

When trying it again, no paint (in fact no water because I tried it just with tap water) was caming out from the airbrush, even at pressure over 25 psi !

So, I tried to fit the head, nozzle and needle (0.33mm size) of my Aircobra airbrush on this Airviper body, and it worked perfectly !

I conclude that the body of my Airviper is OK, and that the problem surely comes from the Airviper head.

Case to follow !

Thanks you Roger.
I help yours will work normally. Yes your return for news will interest me a lot.

I have a lot of airbrushes from several good brands, such as H&S, Badger...), I use them without any trouble for more than 10 years, with acrylics, lacquers etc. Always work fine.

I bought the Aircobra five years ago and Im still very happy with it. Easy and fast to disassemble and clean, strong, wide cup, confortable trigger, and overall, works well with light air pressure.

I ve written an article about it in a French scale model magazine on april 2018 if I well remember (Cocardes International). I have the article on PDF file.

So when the Airviper came on the market, I was empressed to try it ( Although I didnt really need it because I still own two 0,2mm airbrushes).

This is the first real trouble shooting I meet.
My airviper was well boxed when and delivered, had never fallen or been shocked.
But it never worked.

Thirst I m going to contact my dealer again, then I will refer to Ammomig.

We will see !

Hi, now I used it 3 times. First time it was really bad. The behavior was like if you use too much thinner. I demounted it totally for cleanup and saw, that it was not mounted correctly. The needle was not pushed to the end. The result was, that color came out despite the stick was ahead. After correct assembling, the gun worked fine.
Un petit blamage of the vendor. 🤣 The needles pit, the conic part, is longer and thinner than every other I saw before. But the handling is cool for me. Better than my Badger Vega and my cheap Chinese sh**t. It also seems working better with acrylics than the other two. It seems to be made and designed for a 0,2 mm Airbrush.

BTW, I use it with 15 psi.

Hi Roger,
Coming back.
Thanks for your informations !
Good for you, you 're going on the right way with it. I' m happy yours correctly works.
As you certainly know, Ammomig airbrushes are made by Badger company (USA).
I like their airbrushes while they are not the best ones on the market because of some issues when unboxing them : Yes, I have had some problem with my Aircobra five years ago when discovering it : needle and nozzle parts were too strong fitted, the oil on parts was sticky, the airbrush unable to use.
As you, I had to clean it entirely (except valve air inlet), I damp the parts in petroleum solution then lubrificating them and re mounting... but today it works perfectly, and I never change its needle nor nozzle.
And again as you say, far better than several Chinese Sh... I bought during the 10 last years.
So a very good airbrush, an all-round one (priming, coating, details, varnishing) ; I love it.

Unfortunately, I did not meet the same success with my Airviper.
I made several tests on the last days and it still refuse to work. disassembling, re-assembling, cleaning, greasing, fitting a new nozzle...
Nothing blow out from it. Incomprehensible.

I'm sure the airbrush body is Ok. The issue certainly comes from the nozzle / nozzle cap junction ; I have now bubble in the cup when using it.
The only thing i haven't tried yet is changing the needle, because mine seems to be in good condition.

I would have to buy a new complete kit (nozzle + needle + nozzle cap guard), but because I 'm afraid of loosing money I hesitate !

Please let me know about your next experiences with it, I appreciate.

On my part I'll let you know if I fix the problem.

Best regards
