Always interesting to see what you build

Nigel, that's freaking weird! I've just created a tri-axle of that bed! I don't know what it's going on yet, I'm just playing around with it? I'm toying with the idea of a Holmes Wrecker?

Bozzer, great minds and all that.
The holmes was my second choice but I do not have one so thought the Harvey Frost was a good alternative. I too have been 'playing around' with the chassis. The Diamond Reo chassis was already built and I cannot separate the parts so i am going to have to cut off all the front suspension and fuel tank mounts off the chassis to get the bed length I need.
Therefore the Bedford front end/chassis mated to the Reo chassis/rear suspension should work and give me the Brazilian stance look I'm looking for.
Not sure on the Duramax engine fitting at all so may have to rethink the power plant.

I believe that there's one out there? Can't remember who makes it, but I was thinking about making my own? After all, isn't that what we do? 😉

This will be the next project which has been on the back burner for sometime so plans B & C are further options (Provided I do not get distracted by something else 🤪).
I've been watching way too much YouTube truck videos recently, be it modern, custom or vintage - Restorations, custom builds, working and shows from all over the world.
So it has to be a rigid, 3 axle is favourite with a transporter body, ramp truck is preferred, some sort of extended cab/sleeper box and diesel engine oh and rat look.
The Engine space is tiny. I have some extra width but not much length. The Duramax engine is quite big so would not fit within the body. A turbo,d straight 6 might work. More radical would be to mid mount the engine under the rear bed. What do you think?
Plan D Kenworth Aerodyne cab?

That Plan C sleeper, just looks too big in every dimension, for me. The Mercury sleeper is more proportional, without a doubt. If you're going for the Aerodyne cab, then that'll change everything again. For your original concept, I'd check out more engines, before getting lost in cabs and chassis

Thanks for that Bozzer. On to it now

After a fantastic Superbowl, I thought more about your dilemma. You could consider the motor out of the Bandit kit, or even possibly the S'cool bus kit? The exhaust plumbing might give you a few ideas too?

Great ideas Bozzer but I want to avoid a V8 engine and have something a bit different hence the diesel. I have couple of ideas
