Q: Did you start with a gloss coat to protect the basic colors before adding weathering? Ofc, I guess that would mean one had to first add matt varnish mabye.

Thanks all @Treehugger I use Tamiya Acrylic and so i have no problem in weathering with oils and with white spirit or Lukas Citrus Terpentin. in this case i use a clear gloss coat for the decals = it mean 1. Gloss 2. decals 3. gloss 4. wheathering. After drying some days the model get a mate cote - all Tamiya! I use for Shading, Fading Chipping usw. only oils
