Yes. I used a printer to get the letters I wanted, then used an embossing tool to create a depression where they were to be, then wood burned by hand. (Had to sand some of it once or twice...)

I can imagine how does it dance in air current! Really an excellent idea about using magnets!

This idea has been kicking around in my head for a while. I have to say it came out better than I imagined it would! The aircraft is being held up by two powerful magnets. One of the magnets is in the piece of wood above the aircraft and one is in the engine nacelle. Both magnets are held in place with two part epoxy.
