Hahaha,
thx Holger! 🙂
Yes, absolutely. It was a fantastic evening. Exactly as a modeller meeting has to be.
Thx for your kind words about my ex and your new Do 335 model.
Now I`ve the chance to watch her whenever I will do it! 🙂

Spitze gebaut und lackiert. Sieht irgendwie garnicht nach Plastik aus. 👍👍👍

I suppose You have seen the plane before (awardwinning) and maybe the hangar as well. But not yet both together like this.

Beautiful display ! I must admit, I am a bit jealous...only a little bit...🙂

I do like the 335, and I have been watching some vids on Youtube about it. Just amazing, and so BIG !!
Did you scratch build the gantry or is it a kit ?
Great way of displaying your wonderful talents mate. 🙂

Hi Kerry,
yes it is a scratchbuilt gantry, hangar and platform. Not comercial available. Only the service carts and the Do 335 itself are conventional models.
If you are browsing through all my albums and articles you'll find it allways in use as an useful background for photo shootings!

What a unique kind of dio! Excellent display and a wonderful model!

Just a note on the ground equipment: Usually they are not present in the hangar enclosure (for safety and health issues), plus there is no reason for them, as the engines are only running outside.

There is an "Atmosphere" about the whole build, like we have all been taken back in time for just a couple of seconds, most convincing. 🙂

the scenery and the lighting is very effective in creating that atmosphere, all very nicely done !

And the light in that great hangar? Very well done. everything great. Congrt.👍

@all
Many thx for all your nice compliments! I`ve built this model now more than 15 years ago, and it`s truly nice that this old Lady is allways such attractive. She has now a new owner, he`s a scalemate and a really fine guy. Hope he loves her for a long time!
@Aghis Barberopoulos:
You are completely right. Wasn`t thinking about that circumstance.

Album info
I was able to buy a 1/48 Tamiya built model of the well known Do 335 in B-2 version from my mate Dirk Heyer. His model is based on the Do 335 A kit (61074) and was supered and detailed - as seen on this link: hyperscale.com/features/2001/do335b2dh_1.htm . Before handing me over his model, he shot some good-bye-pictures of it in his nicely crafted hangar. With his permission and for Your viewing pleasure, i want to share these pics with You. Thank You Dirk for the great model, the beautiful pictures and a wonderful modellers evening! =)
