Well, just from a distance. There are minor drops on the flaps and on the fuselage from below. I also don't like fitting of the canopy, but it's a hard to reach area, so I would have to let it go 🙁

The sunken areas on the kit flaps are quite noticeable aren't they? but thankfully clean up easily. You've done a cracking job on the surface prep 🙂 . I note that you have the eduard mask for the canopy, is that it in the photo? (I imagine it would be). I've never used pre-cut masks before but bought a set to use on an S-61 which I'm hoping to build in the future. Are they straight forward to use? I would imagine they are fiddly but less so than trying cut your own.

Frankly, I didn't notice them until there was a first layer of surfacer. I was sort of upset because it's a problem when it comes down to metal finish - sloppy work on surface preparation provides a massive backfire later. Well, I think I sort it out eventually. Thank you for your compliments Milk 🙂
There are Eduard's masks indeed. They're really easy to use. It fits well, one just have to be as accurate as possible when applying the masks on the clear parts. I should do more dry fitting before I glued the clear parts though. That's only big drawback of this build so far.

Thank you guys. Some minor progress. I've repaired some flaws, but some are still present. I think I will let go the upcoming contest and repair this stuff instead.

Excellent stuff David; she's looking brilliant. For such a small kit there are a lot of stencils to add!! Although I think there are a lot less in this scheme than the dayglo one.

Exactly Milk, there's just like 1/3 of the decals compared to the other marking. There's a great walkaround by the way modelplac.cz/pages/walk/vampiret11.htm And as always, thank you for the compliments 🙂

Good work so far! Nice to see your attention to the paint job quality. That's important for metal finishes 🙂

Yep, like it too. One of my favourite parts when modelling are adding the decals as it brings the kit to life (it also means that its not far from finished 😄 )

I'm done with this one. First model after 15 years long break. OOB build took me 61 hours.

Very, very good. 👍 Looks awesome. Superb paint Job. First model after 15 years? You are kidding 🙂

Thank you Fox, I appreciate your compliments 🙂 I'm not kidding, it was really such a long break. I just had great mentors.

Thank you guys for such a nice words and comliments. I just came back from my first model show competition and this Vampire was award winning model. I am in awe. There were much better kits in my category, so I was really surprised 🙂
@Philip OOB fitting was generaly good. I had to sand off a bit on the right gondola and put some putty in the seam between wing and fuselage on the underside and on the elevator. It's a wonderful kit, easy to assemble.
