Wow! Nice technique for giving different shades for the aluminum. Is it done just by the coat beneath?

That is a different modulation technique. I've tried it on a tank before. But it didn't look as good as this.

So instead of doing it with one primer color (like black or white) you using more different colors?

It didn't work the way it was supposed to on vallejo. I know it works on alclad, so I ended up masking, and painting different metallic shades.

is it something to do with the different shades of metal
theres a lot of techniques on this site ive never seen before 🙂
